(1) Google Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are stored on your end device for up to two years and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The cookie is used to store personal information such as the time of access, the location from which access was made and the frequency of your visits to our website. Whenever you visit our website, this personal data, including the IP address of the Internet connection you use, is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
Google uses the data and information mentioned above, among other things, to evaluate the use of our website, to compile reports on website activities for us, and to provide further services in connection with the use of our website.
We store the data for 26 months.
We have activated the IP anonymization function of Google Analytics on our website. This means that your IP address is shortened within the European Union or in other states that are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before it is transferred to Google. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address transmitted by your browser when using Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google.
You can prevent the setting of cookies at any time by means of a corresponding setting in your browser and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. In addition, a cookie already set by Google Analytics can be deleted at any time via your browser or other software programs.
It is possible to prevent the collection of data generated by Google Analytics, which is related to the use of this website, and the processing of this data by Google. For this purpose, the browser add-on must be downloaded and installed under the link https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The installation of the browser add-on is considered as an objection by Google. This browser add-on informs Google Analytics via JavaScript that no data and information about visits to websites may be transmitted to Google Analytics.
Finally, you can also prevent the transfer of data to Google Analytics by setting an opt-out cookie in your browser.
Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by Google in the context of Google Analytics can be found in the Google privacy policy at https://www.google.de/intl/en/policies/privacy/and https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms/us/. There you will also receive further information on your rights and settings options to protect your privacy.
(2) Google Ads
We use the online advertising program Google Ads from Google. In the context of Google Ads we use conversion tracking. Google sets a cookie on your device if you have reached our website via a Google ad on an external website. The cookie is valid for 90 days.
Google provides us with statistical evaluations using the information collected by the cookies. We learn the total number of users who clicked on our advertisement(s) and were redirected to our website. These analyses enable us to identify which of the advertising measures used are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data, in particular we cannot identify users on the basis of this information.
We ourselves do not collect and process any personal data. By using Google Ads and conversion tracking, we pursue our interest in showing you advertisements that could be of interest to you, to make our website more interesting for you and to be able to calculate advertising costs accordingly.
Due to the use of conversion tracking, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with the Google server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of conversion tracking. We hereby inform you according to our state of knowledge: Through the integration Google receives the information that you have called up the corresponding part of our website or clicked on an advertisement from us. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, Google will receive your IP address as well as statistical information (browser type and version number, address of the previously visited website (referrer), date and time of the request) and the address of the pages you call up on our website.
You can prevent this in various ways: a) by adjusting your browser settings accordingly, in particular by suppressing third-party cookies, so that you do not receive third-party ads; b) by deactivating cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain "www.googleadservices.com", https://www.google.de/settings/ads; c) by deactivating interest-based ads from providers that are part of the self-regulation campaign "About Ads" via the link https://www.aboutads.info/choices; d) by permanently deactivating them in your browsers under the link https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin. Please note that in this case, not all functions of our website may be available.
Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by Google in the context of Google Ads can be found in the Google Privacy Policy at https://www.google.de/intl/en/policies/privacy/and https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=en. There you will also receive further information about your rights and settings to protect your privacy.
(3) Google Analytics advertising function
We use the Google Analytics advertising functions on our website. This includes Google Analytics reports on performance by demographic characteristics and interests. These reports allow us to break down our site visitors by age, gender and interests and target our ads to the relevant target audience.
For this purpose, Google links data collected by Google Analytics with data generated by Google from interest-based advertising and third-party visitor data.
We store the data for 26 months.
You can prevent the use of the Google Analytics advertising feature in a number of ways: a) by adjusting your browser settings accordingly; b) via the Google ad settings on https://www.google.com/ads/preferences/?hl=en c) by adjusting your cookie settings accordingly, or d) by deactivating it on the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) website at https://optout.networkadvertising.org/. Please note that in this case not all functions of our website may be available.
(4) LinkedIn Insight tag
We use the Insight tag of the social network LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("LinkedIn") on our website. With this measure, we want to design our website to meet the needs and convenience of our users and continuously optimize its content and technology.
The LinkedIn Insight tag allows for the collection of information about visits to our website, including URL, referrer URL, IP address, device and browser characteristics, timestamps and page views. This data is encrypted, anonymized within seven days, and the anonymized data is deleted within 90 days. LinkedIn does not share any personally identifiable information with us, but only provides aggregated reports about the website's audience and display performance. LinkedIn also provides retargeting for website visitors so that we can use this data to display targeted advertising outside of our website without identifying the LinkedIn member. LinkedIn members can control the use of their personal information for advertising purposes in their LinkedIn account settings.
For more information about the purpose and extent of LinkedIn's data collection and processing, please see LinkedIn's privacy policy at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy. There you will also find further information about your rights and settings to protect your privacy.
You can decide at any time via your browser settings whether to execute the Java-Script code required for the tool. Please note that in this case not all functions of our website may be available.
As an alternative to changing your browser settings, you can click on the following link to prevent LinkedIn from collecting data on this website in the future: https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls/retargeting-opt-out
(5) Social plug-ins
On our website we use the plug-ins of the social networks Twitter and Youtube. We do not use direct plug-ins, but use the so-called Shariff solution. You can decide for yourself if and when data is transferred to the operators of the respective social networks. When you visit our website, no data is automatically transmitted to the social networks. Only when you click on the respective button does your browser establish a connection to the servers of the respective social network.
Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by the plug-in provider can be found in the privacy policies of these providers. There you will also find further information about your rights and settings to protect your privacy.

Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices.
