After several years in climate and environmental research, Lutz joined Elementar in 2005. Before starting as Product Manager for organic elemental analysis, he studied chemistry and atmospheric physics in Frankfurt, Heidelberg, Mainz and Utrecht. For many years, he headed the development department before subsequently becoming responsible for worldwide sales and marketing. Today, when he is not rowing a boat or spending time with his family, Lutz is responsible for the Australian branch and is looking for new applications, fields of work and analysis techniques for Elementar.
